Je suis une artiste lituaniene basée à Glasgow. Avant une formation en architecture, la peinture abstraite a été ma rupture avec la précision architecturale. Mon travail est émotionnel, inattendu, car je cherche l'ordre dans un accident, le hasard. Avec la prédominance du blanc et du noir, j'essaie de refléter mes réactions au monde environnant et aux événements avec une touche de couleur. Pendant ma résidence, j'espère explorer un thème de bruit et de silence. Avec le stress croissant et le rythme de vie de plus en plus rapide, j'espère explorer l'état émotionnel autrefois soumis à des environnements différents - le bruit et le silence. Je suis curieu de savoir si l'œuvre produite au cours de cette période reflétera mon état émotionnel et si le public sera en mesure d'identifier ces différences.
I am a Glasgow based Lithuanian artist. With a background in architecture, abstract painting was my break free from architectural precision. My work is emotional, unexpected, as I seek order in an accident, chance. With the predominance of white and black, I try to reflect my reactions to the surrounding world and events with a touch of colour.
While in residency I hope to explore a theme of noise and silence. With the ever increasing stress and pace of life, I hope to explore the emotional state once subjected to different environments- noise and silence. I am curious whether the work produced during that time will reflect my emotional state and the viewers will be able to identify those differences.
